This website is designed primarily to display my photographs of the natural world and share short stories about them for everyone's enjoyment. My main goal is to tell and show the story, image quality will vary depending on conditions, luck and determination.
All of my photographs are images taken of wild creatures in their natural habitat going about their daily routines and behaviors, or in a few instances in less common conditions.
This site is best viewed by laptop, desktop or tablet as many images are by necessity larger in size that mobile phones may be unable to load quickly or display best.
All gentle comments are welcome and appreciated. Correct bird identification can often be a collaborative effort as it is a very large book of knowledge and I am versed in only a small part of it.
The site name is taken from a favorite stretch of local woods that is often bathed in a tranquil silver light, we called this place the Silver Forest and have enjoyed its serene beauty often. To honor that spirit, I invite you to visit and enjoy my images from the greater silver forest that surrounds us all.
